What ever happened to the small block all motor Cuda Chris Uratchko built the motor and I think the guy who owned it was also named Chris was the car sold or is it for sale? Did it ever see the track?

Seems like I saw the motor for sale either on racingjunk or the bullet some time back. Looked like a mighty nice motor.I'm not sure if it ever made it to the track though.

Unless the small changes picks him up a half second, he would be at the tail end of the pack.

Re: What ever happened to the all motor small block Cuda - 07/23/12 04:44 AM

Yea he ran some 8.90s with car. Took apart to get into the 1000hp range. Ron Rhoades with his dads car has just run 5.27s at the last two events. That is like a 8.30 1/4. His car is n\a and the events were 102* and 98*, so I think that car will fly when it has some nice air.

Re: What ever happened to the all motor small block Cuda - 07/23/12 02:17 PM

That is my car..I still have the car and motor. The car is apart and the motor is at Uratchko..To make a long story short lol made 10 break in passes with the car and could not get it to mph hits high gear and would quit pulling.ran 5.60 and 8.90 on 10th pass at Norwalk put it on the bumper and smashed headers flat it was the end of the season took it apart and have not got back to it yet.

Chris has made some small changes to the motor.some head and intake work changed the cam and replaced the rocker to a solid body.I was running a set of mohawk rocker I bought from Tim Davis and they were flexing and I cracked acouple of them.motor made 982hp 2 years ago.should be well over 1000hp when kit makes it back on the dyno.

It would run the number..I was at 3100 pounds, the wrong set of headers and a heavy 727 trans also.I think I could get it in the 8.70 range the way it was.

This would be a different car as the Cuda would not be legal. The 10.5 Cuda is waiting on parts, and I am sick of all the down time, sooo we may venture into a more affordable class like Ultra Street.

Not an A Body, but I have a 25.5 E-Body. I know not as light but would love to have a nice small block like this in it until my Hemi is done. I am also building mine to run Milan's heads up classes. May run D/R. Prefer A/M, but lots of $$$$.

Re: What ever happened to the all motor small block Cuda - 07/25/12 07:31 AM

No 7's yet in the AM class as it's been to hot lately.
Looking for better numbers this fall.
I believe I heard 8.1? is what the fastest is right now.
I have missed 1 or so races but will be there this fall
or if weather is cooler.
Great racing there.

Pretty light if I wanted to hack it up which I dont.it's all steel except the hood and I like it like that.

I had thoughts about building a mustang to stuff the motor in to run Milan A/M.

Know the feeling... can only get mine down to 3215 race ready. I tried to run this class but with out cutting up my car I can't get to weight. And being a power adder car I have to run the old style mickey 275 radials and they suck!!
