If I remember correctly the perches are the same distance apart. I put a B-body in a cpl of my F-bodies and all were an inch too wide. So one w/A-body perches should go right in or be really close w/in 1/2" total. Try and set it in place 1st before you start doing to much figuring. As for the perches just used A and B body type perches w/shocks for a B-body. Thanks, Ken

I am in the process of putting a 56" wide Dana in my Aspen with the springs in the stock location. It is TIGHT. I believe the stock A-Body length is 57"?? I will work just fine I think if mine fit. I am using 15 x 10" rear wheels with 3.5" back space.
The current tire is a 9 x 29.5" The rear is lowered about 3" from stock ride hieght.

Nice car I have a 78 aspen wagon i been wanting to do something with.I have a nice built dana 60 stock width in a abody.
I have 15x8 wheels with 3 and 5/8 back space.I wanting to just run a 26x8.5 slick or a 275 60 15.Do ya think this would work with just ss spring's in stock location? Fairly EZ swap?

My Road Runner has a narrowed axle made to A-Body width. I moved the springs against the frame rail by drilling new holes for the hangers and shackle mounts. We made a slight move to the inner fender behind the back seat as well. 325 50 x 15 ,10" wheels w/4 1/2" back space.

Yeah, you should be fine with that wheel. I think you could go to a 4" back spac comfortably if you wanted to run a 10" wheel down the road. I had a B Body 8-3/4 in the car before the Dana. I ran a 10" wheel with a 5-1/2" back spacing.

I also ran a set of 8.5 x 26's on a 8" rim, 4 or 4.5" back space....

I also ran a 275/60 MT on an 8" wheel...

295/65 on a 10" rim...

10.5 x 29.5" on a 10" wheel...

Basically, if it fits in the stock wheel wheel well, I have probably tried it. I can't fit as big of tire as I used to now that the car sits a fair bit lower now.
