Alternative to the mallory replacement fuel filter - 03/09/12 02:03 AM

Have a 3140 mallory fuel filter. It uses an open element filter that is 2.75" tall, 2.75" dia and has metal plated ends w/ 1" centered holes

Anybody know of a 40 micron replacement filtere for these. The mallory ones are STUPID expensive for a basic style paper element, $30.

This is the filter.

TIA

Not much help,Rob...But they have them on Amazon for 25.00. When I had a Fram canister,I was using filters from a company called Big End.

Thanks Ted.

I have a bunch of the Fram HPGC elements and they are different. Those are about $6. I did find a place with the Mallory elements for about $15 delivered. Lots less than the big houses.

buy the metal screen type for the mallory EFI filter and you wont have to buy any more paper filters

Do you have a part number. I've only found the paper elements.
