360 Valve Covers

I would like to know if using valve covers off a 1986/87 360 is ok on a 1977 360? I am not sure if the valves will clear the center section of the cover and I don't want to find out after I reassemble the engine and get it running. Any part numbers for my application would be helpful. The original covers for the 1977 360 are long gone and I was given the 86/87 covers. Thanks

i beleive any small block cover up to 87 will fit, i think 88 was magnum which is a more of a square cover, also you might have a extra breather hole
