1968 Super Stock Seat Brackets - 02/25/12 07:08 PM

Hey everyone,

My material will be showing up next week to cut these seat brackets out. My price is going to be $150.00+shipping as I stated I would shoot for in a previous thread. They will be made from .100" Aluminum as were the originals, and they are built to original spec. I have made some small changes to aid in the welding process, and to insure the gussets are exactly where they are supposed to be.

I will be making a limited quantity on the first run as I am only doing one sheet, and it will have 4-5 sets of the 68 seat brackets, and 4-5 sets of the 64-5 seat brackets. First 4 people to send me the money will be the first to get the first run. If there is a demand for double that, I will make double and so on. Turn around shouldn't be a issue.

the list I have on interested people from Moparts is as follows:

68shifter (Paid)
scatpacktom
mikeysmopars

I do have more interested from another site as well. Thanks guys!

You might want to offer them with no mounting bolt holes. There are two or three bolt pattern when it come to the A100 seats and depending where you mount them in the body, those holes will not line up either. When I got my brackets I wish they did not have the the holes in them.

Thanks Troy, if anyone wants brackets with no holes, let me know when you order, it is easy to leave them out.

The brackets are cut and bent up! There is still 3-4 68 sets up for grabs. The 64-65 brackets all sold. Here are two of the 64-65 brackets ready to be welded.

E-mail me and we can talk. I'm sure we can sort something out. They will have to be a slight bit different design I think.

Really busy and not updating this thread as much as I should. Sorry guys, and thanks for the patiance, I do this after hours, so I am not as fast as if it was a full time job. That being said, I have about another hour of welding, and then it's on to hand finishing the faces for a uniform finish, and then box up and ship. All of the first run has sold out. I will be running a second run as soon as I can. I ordered material today, and it will show up next week sometime. I have gave my laser cutting guys a heads up they are coming, so hopefully the next set round can be cut and bent two weeks from now, and welded another week after. I haven't sold any off the second run yet, and wont be taking orders until they are getting cut. Thanks again guys!

ryangtogtx, I don't have the brackets yet, so no installed seat pics. Is that what you were wondering or are you still waiting on your brackets? Been a few months now, wasn't expecting it to take this long.

Re: 1968 Super Stock Seat Brackets - 07/05/12 07:16 PM

I was just taking with our shop foreman at the fab shop I work at. Sounds like he might be able to cut me a deal on waterjet cutting these which would work out well since my material is sitting in our shop currently.
