What is everybody running for dampeners on their centrifugal style blower motors? One or two keyways? Thanks, John

Sorry, it's one of those things that bolts to the front of the crank. Oh well, I guess I'm all wet - and don't spell to very good.

I use a double keyway ATI superdamper. One of the best out there.Your better off with 2,limited boost with a single keyway.

I've run 12 PSI with a 6V-71 for 27 years. Stock 340 crank, stock key way, solid hub(no damper). Its no world beater but runs 11.00@3875lbs.Street use and hundreds of 1/4 passes shifting at 7000rpm.I replaced the bearings 5 years ago, the old ones looked perfect.

Thanks. That's probably what I will go with.

Re: Dampeners - 12/21/11 03:25 PM

how limited on boost?

I see one that's run 12 psi on a single keyway.

I'm in the assembly stage of a friends motor, that he plans to feed 12-14 psi. it's an all forged magnum 5.9 Magnum

My build will unclude running upwords of 20 PSI with a centrigugal style blower. Most are recommending 2 keys. Not sure which damper though.
