28X9X15 Slick on 15X7 Cop Rim? - 12/19/11 09:21 PM
Can I get away with mounting GoodYear Eagle DragWay Special Slicks in the size of 28X9X15 on a 15X7 cop rim? Or is 7" too narrow and I should find an 8" rim?
Anyone else get way with mounting 9" slicks on a cop rim?
Car is a '67 Satellite so I don't have much room in the wheel wells, plus I already have the cop rims. Thanks.

You can do it but you won't be using the contact patch properly. You can fit a 15 x 8 with that tire by removing the outer lip completely for no interference perfect fit...

What backspacing do you use with the 15X8" rim on a '67 B-Body? Thanks!

I ran both M/T and Hoosiers that size on the 7" police wheels with no problems on the Dart.
