I am trying to see what rpm you are going thru the traps at and with what Gears and tire size.

I am trying to get some more rpm at the top end and do not want to swap out my 4.10's

right now I'm at 5400 with 29" street tires. And when i compare to my friends with autos I see alot of convertor slip.

bout 6200, i know the shift light comes on (6100) but either I don't remember or don't see it. Just getting old I guess.

I run a hoosier 29x9 slick Dana 4.10 gear 4-speed. Go threw at 6300 at 130 mph.

i was going through about 7,000 @ 130, at the same track its about 1 mph slower with an automatic 4.56 gear 29in tire. if it were a wedge i wouldn't be twisting it quite as hard.

At 130 mph ,I never look at the tach. The shift light does come on just past the finish line [ 6800 ] with 4.56 and 30" tire

4.56 32" tire replay tach says 6900 7000.

4.56 gears w/ 33" tires crossing the line at about 6700-6800 running 8.9's.
Switching to 4.88 gears next season.

27x 10.50 et streets with a 4.10 crossing at 6400 with 126 mph

Shift lite comes on just before the finish line, so trap rpm is around 6300 rpm with 29" tall slicks and 4.56 gears @ around 119 mph.

with 4.10's and 28" tall ET streets im crossing the traps at about 5500rpms....my shift lite is set for 6k, so ideally i need more gear to really optimize the combo

With my Richmond 5-speed I trap in fourth gear(1.24)fifth gear is direct 1 to 1.
I run 3.54 gears,28" slick,6600 RPM,125.6 MPH
Now when I was running a 4-gear I ran 4.56 gears and would trap at just over 6300 with 28"slicks.

On that day I was running M/T street pros and was leaving at 3000 rpm . Was a fine line to walk to get them to hook. Any higher and they spun. 29x15.50 Street pros. I am looking into a set of Slicks 26x12.5 to try and get the rpm up and get into second before the 60 ft lights.

Trans is a Hemi box that has pro shifted 2nd, faceplated 3-4 and a Ram adjustable clutch with a organic disc. Set at 2700# now any lower and it just powers thru the clutch.

At 3800 lbs and 590 hp I think I should get down to 11.20's at 122 or so. Old setup would 11.0's at 123 mph with 13x31 and 5.13's and 3400 lbs.
