Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

I have three of them in some parts I just acquired and would love to know what they were made for and what they would be worth?

I am thinking maybe some industrial purpose?

They are an exact copy of the NOS #4211926 parts I have

Maybe some army application or something conversions like some fire trucks and things had?

Double layer stuff like that is usually strong but prone to rust.

You sure they aren't just pressed together? After years of sitting, good chance they were stored at the bottom of a pile? 🤔

Trapping moisture between the walls?

Definitely spot welded all the way around - you can see it in the pics - seriously considered taking them apart but the cost is not worth it.

I will probably just put them on the website at the same price as the NOS ones I have and hope someone wants one.

No ideas at this point what they would have been in.
