55 dodge 1/2 ton truck Disk brake conversion?

I should have the 55 home this weekend. Oklahoma farm truck. Ugly enough to be cute. Bought it for the wife and needs a lot of work. The frame is solid. Want to put disks on front and looking for advice. Straight axel on front. Have heard of guys installing a frame from a newer model but not sure I want to go that route. Any thoughts or ideas on what should be done?

Hey,John. Do you kno if they will fit inside 14 inch rims?

I doubt that they will clear, at least not without grinding clearance in some areas. I have the same caliper on my 65 and had to clearance to outside corners and this is on 15" wheels.
