70% of Global Profit from Ford pickups - 06/26/20 12:01 PM
Wall Street Journal has an article on the redesigned F series pickups on Friday’s page B3.
7 out of every 10 dollars of Ford’s worldwide profits come from their pickups.
With two plants in Louisville KY I now understand why they redesigned the assembly line for “extreme social distancing” to get those two plants working again during covid-19.

Makes sense since the don't really produce any cars for sale in the US.

I think you'll find similar numbers for GM and Chrysler too. They all make big margins on trucks compared to cars.

I would also like to know either the taxable profit per pickup,
or the “free cash flow” on Ram 1500 and 2500s.
When they announced the last merger it seems I remember reading that Jeep and Ram would account for more than 100% of the proposed merged company’s profit.
With Covid-19
Jeep and Rams divisions profit has got to be much lower now, if not negative.
