Not as good as an aftermarket with pre-outs before the internal amp. Otherwise you will have to buy a lineout convertor like Scosche offers to run it. This is an amp and sub and you can see the line out adaptor tucked in behind it. In this case I have the line in soldered directly to the rear speakers. Better than factory but not as good as a high end unit but this was a free upgrade for me.

Thaxs ….for that reply, I have seen those sub/amps for sell .But never have herd one. When dodge first came out with 1st gen rams they had the system call the infinity nice sounding system up how would you compare this setup to it(if you have herd the infinity sound system?)What i'm trying to do is get better sound with out altering the looks of the stock dash.

My 2000 Dakota had that. Good sound quality although eventually both speakers dry rotted. My basslink would equal or better that for thump. I would suggest upraded speakers if yours are stock for mid and upper range.

so did they come with a special type speaker or the standard one , I up graded the two door speakers to some pioneers and left the rear stock.

The infinity speakers that were in my car years ago had small amps on the speakers.

The door speakers on my Dak were Infinity. They looked special as they had HUGE magnets on them. The ones I replaced them with, not so much. frowwn

Thaxs…...the speakers that I installed were some pioneers that I got out of the salvage yard. They fit nice ,but sound no better than the factory ones. work wondering what the new dodge truck has? I'll like to keep the factory stock look with much better sound.

What is the vehicle? How the speakers are mounted can be even more critical to good sound than the brand of speaker. To get decent low end speakers need to be enclosed on the back side.

95 Dodge ram 1500 up stock radio, stock speaker location. trying to keep it as (stock looking as possible). but the same sound quality as the infinity systems that came out in the first gen rams.
