1986 dodge plastic gas tank question?

1986 dodge plastic gas tank question? - 11/21/18 07:21 PM

Got to weld up a crack on 1986 dodge truck gas tank. Anyone know what kind of plastic these gas tanks are made of? Polypropylene? Polyethylene? Got to get the correct plastic welding rods.
Suppose to be stamped but I don't see it. Thanks!

Pretty sure they are HDPE, high density polyethelene.
