I think the A833 overdrive was in these trucks, but was it the only transmission? Slant 6 two wheel drive.
I'm looking a buying one about 3 hours away and guy doesn't know what trans is in it. Hoping for overdrive highway friendly.

I think the NP 435 could be had also. If it's labeled "Miser" or the like, it should be the o/d 833.

Agreed. Ask the seller if the shifter is about 18" or 36". Short one on the od trans.

D100 will be the OD box, D150 could be either or, D250 will be Np435, after 35 years of existence who knows what might be in there I bought an 83 once that had Richmond super T10 copy in it.
Ask him where reverse is , if it's up and to the Left it's a OD if it's to the right and back it's 435
