Macho makeover

Have this customer that I've been building Cudas for over the last decade brings me this 77 Macho. Says lets fix her up. I'm like ok, should be a nice change. I've owned a butt load of 61-80 trucks so this is up my alley.
Pretty clean Western truck with some very mirror rust and dents.
360 auto with vac and volt gauges and no radio.

Interior is worn and the underside looks of 39 years.

Painted the undercarriage, Install Skyjacker 4" lift with 35" tires.
Replaced the 360 with a 68 440 with a 70 6-pack that we have laying around.

Body and paint. New stripes.
New carpet and seat covers. Removed the in-cab fuel tank. Added factory 8-track and tach.

Truck came out real nice. Drives really nice too.
Wouldn't mind doing another one.

They might be wider than 9.5, can't remember for sure. They did say they would fit the 8" wheels.

They look perfect.

Only thing I would change would be long-box, but that's just me. Nice job!

sweet truck! that was the best dash Dodge ever used, wish they kept them into the '90s.

Came from the factory with both the in-cab and saddle tanks.

72-80 1/2T short bed dropped 3" with a 12 valve CTD and 518.

In cab was an option till 78. 74 was when they started using the bed but some had a dummy bed filler and still uses in cab.

Truck turned out NICE

Truck looks great. Nice job.I personally would have left the in cab tank and just not used it, but thats just me. Also not a big fan of the blacked out fire wall but it is not my truck and you have to do it to your customers taste. Truck still looks great.

Yep I've have a couple 78's with the in cab tank. My 79 and 80 did not the them, only saddle tanks.
I've had several 73's All have saddles tanks. On my CC didn't have a in cab tank of course but the fill tube went though the cab on out the lower corner to the saddle tank. Stupid set up.
My 73 W200 had both tanks with one split fill tube.
