904 kickdown linkage adjustment 84 d150

I think I've gotten the shifts as good as I can get but the truck kinda jumps when shifting from 1st to 2nd but shifts normal from 2nd to 3rd, passing gear works good. Its a A999 out of a 89 d150 that's in my 84 d150 with 3.55 suregrip. Can anyone who's still useing factory kickdown linkage on there 81-up d150's maybe take a pic of theirs maybe measure where yours is adjusted to kinda get an idea if its adjusted right. Mines a 318 4bbl I'm just wondering if I have the right flat bar with the long slot I have short and long ones
