Help lowering my 85 D150 - 03/22/16 03:23 AM

I am wanting to lower my 85 Ram 150 and I have the opportunity to pull the LCA's from an 80's Dodge van and am curious to a few things. Are there any other parts I need from the van? There are two vans there, one is a 3/4 ton and the other a half ton. Will either work and is there an advantage to having 3/4 ones such as larger ball joint, more heavy duty, or any other reason? Is it for the most part, a direct bolt on?

Thank you for any info.

The only other parts from the van you need are the pivot bolts at the end of the control arm where it bolts to the frame bracket. As far as 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton arm being better than one another I really believe it makes no difference which one you get. On being a bolt in you will have to drill out your trucks frame bracket for the pivot bolt of the lower control arm because it's larger and then redrilling for the bolt holes for the strut rods in the van control arms. Other than that it is mostly a bolt in. twocents
