03 Liberty front driveshaft length

I bought an 03 Liberty (3.7L auto) last week at an auction for $1000. It did not have a front drive shaft so I need to get one. I looked around a little bit and there seems to be two different sizes of them. One they are saying is 16 1/2 tube and one is 19 1/2 tube. I don't know how to figure out which one i need.
Does anybody know which one I need! Thanks.

Throw a tape measure at it and see what it tells you.

I wish. The measurements they give are not the overall length of the part just the length of the driveshaft tube not including the cv joints.

It would give you an idea or find another and compare

I guess I was hoping somebody could tell me which one I need instead of me guessing.

I would call the dealer and give them the vin , not sure but they should be able to tell you.

I've been using a co on ebay called proshaft for front drive shaft replacements.

I am in the same boat with a 98-GC 5.9 4x4 with front shaft MIA.

it has the CV on the axle end but a regular double u-joint on the xfer side.

I see a few of them with CV on both ends in those newer ones like you have.

take a look at both yokes to see what it needs.

I see replacements on e-bay in the 400-500 price range. but can find anything on how long or how to measure.

cant find it with only one cv end either?? I find the replacement CV but no shafts.

so you say they measure the tube and not the spline ends?

I look into the proshaft seller.

Scratchn, your driveshaft should be 31.25 long

Well advance auto has two listed as exact fit. I am going to order the one that is more expensive because that's the way it goes for me and hope it fits. With a discount code it's $240. It will be easier to return to them than an ebay seller.
