Just put one in my 99 to replace the vacuum actuator. It's awesome to have absolute 4wd when I want. I don't think my actuator was bad but for some reason I don't have much manifold vacuum. I've checked and rechecked every possible point I could for leaks but found none. Just very low vacuum. I didn't put a gauge on to check to see just how much vacuum I had, but had very little at each and every point in the lines. Not that it matters at this point. Point is that if your 4wd sucks.........

I installed one on my '96 Chevy Tahoe. Was really happy with it, they're a quality product. Having the option for 2wd low range was great for burnouts too, lol

I've been wondering what I'd do with 2 low. I never thought about the burnouts.
I put one on my ram 2500 last year when the 4x4 wouldn't work. I didn't care for the quality of a few of the parts like the jam nut was a different thread size the cable. It also took for ever to get adjusted right. I'd get it adjusted and the light off then I'd be driving and the light would come on. But all is good now. I do like it a bunch. It really helps when backing my trailer up.

Interesting. Mine was a breeze. Threaded the cable in till it looked about right bolted the cover on and it worked first try. I do wish the cable was about a foot shorter though.
