440 Source Stroker kits?! - 11/22/14 09:51 AM

I'm wanting to stroke a 440. Anyone use their kits and like them? I've heard some guys say they don't like them Only because they aren't american made. I'm thinking 500-512. Thanks
Also anyone recomemned another source they've been pleased with.

My son has one in his 66 Charger. Motor is a monster. No problems at all.

I don't know where you are in Iowa but 3 friends have the kits in their cars. They run at Cedar Falls and Eddyville and are pretty darned fast with no problems. Two have Eddy RPM heads and one has the Eddy Victors. It all depends on your goals and application.

496" Kit in my Challenger. Except for shearing off a cam dowel, this motor has been together since March 2007 WITHOUT anything having to be done to the short block.
All it's ever seen is balls-out drag racing (probably 600 runs or so) and still has 80# oil pressure and runs 6.75 in the 1/8th.
I had everything checked before I assembled it...pins were a bit tight but otherwise all OK.

Don't build one and expect it to rev to the moon...I shift mine at 6200...it'll last forever.

I'm on the West Boarder of Ia.
Its for a 4wd. It'll see mud and maybe a trip down the track a time or two but mostly just a fun truck with some Good Grunt. It'll have a Np435 divorced Np205 and D60s front and rear with 4.88 gears.
Thanks for the Input guys. Much Appreciated
