chrome tube grill in 81 d150

so i picked up a nice 8 tube chrome grill out of a older chevy & want to know what ya guy's did to fit them in your truck's... i just dont want to start hacking away

I have nothing to add except pics please.

I bought a billit style off Epay. It was for a GM/Chevy. I laid my spare 81 grill onto it, marked the difference in length. Wacked the ends off with a hand held bandsaw. The mounting tabs need to be fabbed and mounted.

ya 340 i figured it out lol.. just mocked up still need to smooth the tab's down a little more & bolt it in.. 340 what did you do for the bracket's?? here is a pic of it mocked up
