1995 Mopar Performance Dakota R/T? - 03/30/14 06:15 AM
I'm interested in any knowledge about these trucks
In late 1995 the local Mopar Performance Dodge dealership got in a cool red 95 Dak 5.2L 5spd standard cab short bed. The really cool part was under the hood, it had factory ram horn headers and Mopar Performance dress up parts , a MP computer, camshaft and a plaque that indicates it was put together by Mopar Performance.
On the outside it had small vinyl lettering that said Mopar Performance R/T
There is said to only be a few of these trucks that ever made it beyond acting as test mules and as such were to be destroyed.
Somehow a couple employees ended up with a few and at least one was sold to a dealership in Illinois. This being the one I am speaking of a good friend has owned since 1998. Since 98 the Dak has been "used" as a truck/street-racer and then farm duty
For the last 10 or so years. Not easy use ever in its life.
I'd like to know what you out there know about them.
I am buying the truck just because I've known the truck from new. It can just hang out with the rest of my "Resting Mistresses".
