door mirrors for 88-93 dodge truck same as chevy?

my mirrors that came off my 89 dodge truck (parts truck) are they the same mirrors that the chevy truck used? just curious

The mirror head? Possibly. The base is shaped differently. Know someone who tried this.

I was curious because seems that u can get the chevy ones a lot cheaper than the dodge ones, plus I heard that the chevy ones were stainless while dodges were plastic

These are the generic GM replacement mirrors, they do have the stainless base cover, and fit quite well.

Same here, I used a pair I got at Pep Boys that were universal and are similar to the Dodge, and they fit well although I used my old bottom cover. The problem I have is keeping them tight as they always seem to loosen and turn in at high speeds.

Do the chevy ones line up with the dodge mounting studs that stick out of the door? or they just alittle different there?

I only used the post and mirror it slid into the Dodge mounting bracket on the door.

yeah but my covers are busted and so are the mirrors, the last owners kids had something to do with that when he owned it
