I need a wiring schematic for power windows on 82-93

I need a wiring schematic for power windows on 82-93 - 10/17/13 04:35 PM

I getting ready to pull the power windows mechanism out of a 89 or 90 dodge ram and was wondering if any one has a schematic for one so I can see where all the wires go. Hopefully there easy to get to under the dash I don't want to pull every thing out to get to where they connect. I'm kind of hoping they disconnect behind the kick panels and I can just make my own harness to make them work. I'm also taking out the power locks as well. I'm installing it all in my 78 ramcharger.

All the PW/PDL harnesses I have pulled out Run the whole length of the dash, and plug in to the main harness around the top of the brake/gas pedals..

I pulled all of the original wire harness out of my '86 Ramcharger SE including the entire dashboard to build the race truck. The only things that I saved were the brake light switch, the VIN tag (I will relocate it) and the bracket with the P-brake mechanism. Everything else was given to a fellow club member for his Ramcharger. I converted both doors to manual windows. This truck is never going back on the street or trail, race only.

Do you guys think I'll be able to get the harness out without taking the dash out?

you will have to pull the vent duct work out.. It is difficult but not impossible.. is all you need the wiring?

No I'm taking it all, regulators, motors, switches, and harness. He's selling it all to me for $100.00. I just need to take it all out.

I put the whole setup in an 89 ramcharger years ago. did not take dash out, but I recall having to tilt it back a hair maybe to put the harness across the firewall. I installed the entire pw and pdl setup, and most impressive was the fact that the switches went in same location on door panel as the window cranks had been located. Spent 2 out of a 3 day mem day holiday getting it done.

I have 1979,86,and 1990 D&W service manuals with wiring diagrams in them your welcome to come look at them.

your best bet is an 80...and they are tough to find. The later ones will be a little tougher to install.
