Dakota 5.2 injector upgrade question.. - 09/17/13 08:05 PM

i have a 93 dakota with a 5.2 and im looking to upgrafe to a more efficient injector. i have heard that the injectors from a ford 4.6 or 5.4 will work. has anyone done this before?

What year 5.0 injector are you referring to? I am assuming the electrical connection is the same. thanks

these Holley fuel injectors have been cited by professional engine researchers as having fine atomization

i dont know how resistant they are to clogging over the long term

going up to 30 lbs per hour injectors has no advantage on gasoline, but would probably allow operation on e85 fuel, which would give a horsepower gain

are you going to run at factory stock 35 to 39 psi fuel pressure
or 43.5 psi ?

for right now, im going to leave the fuel pressure alone. i want to see what difference the injectors make. i plan on doing a plug swap when i change the injectors so i can get a true read on what it needs. its running a tad rich at the moment.
