Trailer brake controller, what to buy? - 05/18/13 04:15 AM

Once again the controller has died. I'm thinking of a TEKONSHA Prodigy P2 if I can find a dealer. I have dual axle electric brakes. Seems there are more brands than you can count. What are you guys using?

The TEKONSHA are a really good line of controllers. I used the P2 and liked it.

A lot of guys I know are talking about the P4, but it has more features than I would need.

depending on what you are hauling weight wise you might want to check out max brake. it's hydraulic (or air) over electric and works off brake pedal pressure vs. the inertia type sensor in the typical knee knocker.

P2 is what we use and are more than pleased with its performance.

The Prodigy is not only a good choice but a bargain too.

Many settings.
