The magazines dying off is probably driven by ad revenue as much as the current smartphone/blog/internet thing.
I read the other day that most folks never pick up a book after leaving college or high school.
Maybe humans have become addicted to viewing screens rather than paper - one is largely "free" and passive, right ?
Printed media seems so much richer to me, and better for the details of the text and the photos.
Better for the details of the photos? Yeah right. You would rather have to get a magnifying glass and look at a grainy mag pic than to be able to see clearly all details of a digital photo that you can zoom in as close as you want and see every detail? You magazine neanderthals need to get over it.
