Identify a different old car.

Identify a different old car. - 12/13/23 10:52 PM

I play the game of what kind of car is it when watching old movies.

This one stumped me. First I saw it as Eddie's car on Leave it to Beaver but then it popped up again.

I don't have a good picture of the whole car but the two distinctive things are the grill along the edge of the hood and the headlight buckets molded into a bullet intersecting the fender. It also has a small bullet turn signal next to the headlight.

Any ideas?

With that hood ornament I'd guess Pontiac.

We have a winner 1940 Chevy.

I desperately searched the Pontiacs because of the hood ornament.

Makes sense it was a chevy too since Chrysler suppied the cars to leave it to beaver the clunkers were always non Chrysler.

Thank you

That was fast.

Agree on the Chevy. Olds & Pontiac grilles were different than that car's, and the hood vents are Chevy.

Remember when Lumpy drove Ward's Chrysler and got water in the distributor cap? laugh

Same episode in which Ward caught June stripping at a club for extra money.
