Ford Dealers Don't Trust Ford

Ford Dealers Don't Trust Ford - 11/07/23 01:57 PM

'Automotive News reports that a dealer survey conducted by automotive data firm Kerrigan Advisors shows that Ford dealers have very little trust in company that makes the brand they sell. Meanwhile Toyota dealers have the most trust in their brand.

From June to October 2023, 650 dealers across the country were anonymously surveyed in the fifth edition of Kerrigan’s annual dealer survey. The trust question made its debut this year, something Erin Kerrigan, the firm’s managing director told Auto News came about after the recent EV push. Ford came up as the least trusted brand according to its dealerships.'

Boy you sure like to parse stuff don't you.

What is it they don;t trust about Ford, or do trust about Toyota? That would be important.

Here you go

"Forty-eight percent of dealers said they have no trust in Ford and Kerrigan Advisors found that outcome “consistent with the expectation of a decline in future Ford franchise profitability due to the OEM’s EV/future retailing strategy."

Maybe Ford is tired of dealership games with pricing?

The dealerships want a product that they can sell (people want it) that they can get enough of (supply chain) that they can sell profitably.

So take that with a grain of salt.

That's rich!

Snipertroll takes a cheap and unwarranted shot. I respond and you accuse ME of being the a$$hole.

No objectivity is possible with you guys. You see everything through your myopic mindset.

Reading this thread is like reading text messages between a group of prissy 14 year old blonde girls. And it's only the beginning of November.

Would you care to explain that?

Snipertroll attacked me here. Was that necessary and appropriate? Do you think that someone should not respond to repeated trolling?

I think the dealers are catching up to the customers when it comes to not trusting a Ford. LOL

Of all the cars I work on nobody seems to trust their Fords. They have their share of issues just like all manufacturers but with the other brands people seem surprised if they breakdown. The Ford owners seem to expect it. shruggy

Door swing both ways.

I'm sure Ford doesn't trust it's dealers.

Remember how Dealers added over sticker prices on high demand cars like when the GT40, retro T-bird, etc came out ?
