Starter lug 90 degree adapter? - 04/25/23 01:50 PM

Does anyone know if there are 90 degree adapters for a Chevy 350 starter for the positive battery cable? I replaced the cables yesterday and the way it is mounted now, I want to redo it. It runs where it is supposed to until it gets to the starter. The cable has the flat end on it and runs on the outside of the starter on the header side. It's right against the starter, but would rather it run towards the block or along the starter the other way. I had it mounted towards the block, but the terminal end was touching the other lug on the solenoid and would jump the solenoid that way. I couldn't get it up at an angle to avoid touching the other lug. Any advice? I really don't want to spend the money on a new cable. Not sure if extending it out would be an option either. I believe the threads are 7/16.

Those may work. I didn't realize it was able to be separated to use individual parts.

I'm sure they do. But I would rather not cut the cable.

Ended up dropping the starter and mounting the battery cable on an angle where it cleared the S terminal on the solenoid. Little harder getting the ignition wire on it that way, but it worked. Will keep the adapter saved for future reference.
