Chrysler Marine Engines.... - 04/02/23 06:11 AM

You always find something that you've been looking for for a long time when you're actually looking for something else. laugh2

I've been looking for this Chrysler boat owners manual for year off and on.

I wanted to show the Dual Quad 426 Marine Engine pics in it.

The 68 Chrysler boat that I had was just a 318, but I loved seeing that a 426 was available.

Back in the 90's when I lived in cottage country there was a guy with a beautiful yellow Donzi that came factory equipped with a 440 6 pack. To this day I've never seen a better looking boat, and the exhaust note drool

It was like this but yellow

Looks like a Borg Warner transmission behind it. One of the precursors of the 1016 series, maybe a 1005?

Can't believe it can hold up to a big block.

Years ago, I had a 1970 Chrysler I/O bow rider, but it only had the slant6 in it . . .

An interesting detail in the right side photo is a Prestolite transistor ignition box.

This is from a late 60's early 70's (but undated) inboard dealer parts flyer showing all the marine engines available.
It's a foldout intended to be in a Chrysler parts dept binder about 17' x 22" opened up (8.5x11x4).
The headers are very unique. I'f you are interested I can get a hi rez scan to see the details w/o pixels.
In one 440 is mentioned but not certain in mentions 3x2's, pic shows 2x4.
