Was there today.
Disappointed.
For one thing ,even getting in the door is a ripoff.
Cost $40 for 2 of us before I even looked at the first booth. $10 just to drive in the gate, and another $30 just to enter the building I can understand charging either one or the other but not both admissions.

I remember your dad from the first power tour I went on. Great guy. Had a guy in our group that had a bad starter on a 68 dart. I had a starter in my trunk, and Herb was right there, coveralls and all ready and willing to climb under the guys car (who's owner he'd never previously met) and help with the starter change. Something not often seen these days

At those prices I hope they were giving you a t-shirt or maybe a hat.

Guess you haven't been to a baseball game in the last couple of decades then. Parking fee and admission fee. Both. I was initially ok with the parking fee, because the parking lot really needed redoing (minor league team) still waiting on the parking lot to get done....

Then there is the cost of the concessions, lol.

Same everywhere. World of wheels show in pittsburgh used to be two floors now it’s one with lots of spacing. Same cars every year and 22 or 23.00 to get in. Parking prices are crazy and don’t even think about food or a beer. I swear everyone gets a first place trophy that enters. Ohhh and don’t even get me started on the guys blasting their stereo that thinks it sounds good and all it’s doing is blowing out your eardrums.

$110 for a 10x20 spot, get two tickets. The parking situation was horrible as they tore down the building to the south and took out all the parking there, it was especially bad on Saturday during the monsoons. One friend told me it took half and hour to find a parking spot, then had to walk from under the horse track and around to the front of the building to buy a ticket to get in, rain was nasty! I swear some people just went home instead of trying to figure out how to get in without being soaked. Friday was better than expected, Saturday was MUCH worse than expected. We were packing up by 2:00 so it felt like a Sunday anyway. I still did decent in sales, and everything I bought to resell there actually sold, that is a first! laugh2

I found a few things for my 71 there. And a few things I didn't. There was definitely some deals. It took me a half hour to find parking, and security finally escorted a bunch of us all the way by the old train station. We then had to walk across the entire fairgrounds, getting soaking wet, both times.

Don't you know you are supposed to turn your phone off when cruising around a social setting like a swap meet? Friends may be constantly calling telling you to look for parts or t-shirts for them, they are supposed to be there! Wives should be helping to point out parts you may need! laugh2
