Re: From the Mouth of Galen! - 02/21/23 11:18 PM

If that is true then it's short for rocker panel COVERS not just rocker panels that are no doubt on there from Body-In-White seeing "Rock" is on top of red oxide primer at this point. And why would the "R" have to be uppercase and not lowercase? Also why did only one person sign or put the notification that it gets rocker panels out of the thousands of cars that got them and it seems to have only happened at one assembly plant. Sorry not buying that story. "burst your bubble" more like typical buzz kill IMO. laugh2

The very first 68 Road Runner we got at 31-63436 was a 383 4spd, on the front of the left valve cover was a crayon? face drawn, and "Osker" written above it. For some reason it made an impression on me ... still can picture it today.

That settles it, then:
What we've been calling an inner wheelhouse is properly called a Dickie.

I wonder what all of these assembly plant terms mean then?? https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/photos-p2.shtml

And here Rock really wanted to get the point across which makes the wheelhouse naming suspect IMO.
