History on my 70 Challenger RT convertible - 02/06/23 07:15 PM

Im just going to throw this out there. I am looking for any history on my 1970 Red Challenger R/T 440 convertible that I bought from Winnipeg in 1993 from a guy I will just name as "Ron"(don't have permission to use his last name). It is a Canadian spec car serial #JS27UOB157472 that I believe was sold in Canada and spent it's life there. Ron said he purchased it from a farm outside of Winnipeg, and can't remember who from. Before that, the history is a mystery. I would appreciate any help finding former owners, pictures, leads, etc. You can message me here at Moparts, or call or text me at 218-269-2844 thanks, Brian.

nope . . . "privacy act" and generally kicked outta the system when it gets beyond so many years old . . . at least here in Alberta. Each province is different . . .

I'm from MN too and the car sounds awful familiar too one I knew of back then. The owners name was Ron R. too! He restored it back to the original red color around 1991 and then sold it when prices were escalating fast on those cars. It was a factory red 440 convert and there couldn't have been many in this upper midwest area at that time.

My friend has one of the two 70 Challenger R/T V code convertible Canadian cars, and he was just told by a well-known collector/broker that records for Canadian cars are available. He is just beginning to look into it to see what he is talking about.

You could simply buy the used vehicle package for the Ottawa hemi car because it was Ontario. Not sure if Manitoba also has that. There are also free apps out there that will give you history just off the license plate number, but unsure how accurate they are.
