Leaving moparts on overnite

Leaving moparts on overnite - 12/06/22 01:39 AM

Thinking about this the other day, if leaving any internet site on, say overnite, does it use up your bites? Even when it goes dark? I’ve done this a few times forgetting to leave the site.

It's possible.

I would think that unless you're refreshing the page, it shouldn't use any bytes/download.

Does your computer sleep? If so it won't load anything.
Im not sure how the ads work but they shouldn't take up much and might be cached. I never noticed that they change other then being like an animated gif or something? In which case once it loads that's it.

The phone shouldn't be doing anything with it if youre not on the browser screen.

You should be able to go into 'Settings' and see what's using data.

For my post I meant if you don't have moparts on the screen it shouldn't be using any data. Or if the screen is off because the phone timed out and went to sleep.

I thought this was a rant about you leaving some secret Moparts Overnite Club I was unaware of.

Came here hoping to find information on this secret society.

It is natural to wake up from roughly midnight to 2 AM as part of the First Sleep, Second Sleep pattern of older adults, just like it is natural for teenagers to stay up late and then sleep in.

But Moparts needs to change all the late night screens to red/green/black with no blue light,
otherwise we will doom ourselves to not getting that “Second Sleep.”

Until Moparts creates the “Hoot Owl” board,
better just listen to a not-so-interesting radio program to bore you into Second Sleep,
or tend to a reddish ember fire.

8GB is nothing, using the internet normally you'll use that in a few hours. Look into an unlimited plan.
