Finnegan put one in the Death Metal Charger, and it's pretty awesome.

I had DVR'd it to watch when I had time (and to fast forward through commercials), as soon as they explained what they were going to do I stopped the playback and deleted it.

I have no interest it watching anyone swap a 2JZ, an LS or anything else into a Mopar of any kind.

Toyota 3.0L inline 6 from the 90's, in top twin turbo format back then they made 320hp in the supra but were so beefy right from Toyota that guys were cranking the boost on them and making over double that reliably.

Dodge now has their own, two of them, one is 400hp and 500hp and one will even be used in the 2023 dragpak car which is over 1000hp

Is it any worse than a Cummins swap? IDK, the 2JZ doesn't really bother me, it's different and unique. Now an LS? That just shows you lack creativity and imagination.

the so called purists are the real issue.. throwing their opinion out there about changing a mopar like their opinion matters.. screw them.

its a freaking 67 coronet. not like its a very popular car. whoever owns the car is ok with it which is all that matters.. after seeing the death metal charger with the same engine it sparked my interest.. seems like a cool ass swap.

I think its irrelevant what make or model gets what kind of drive train. Theres been plenty of new hemi/hell cat swaps done to classic mopars. When manufacturers make kits to pretty much do a start to finish swap, its not a huge deal yo me. Toyota in a chrysler product though? Lots of people getting their a$$ hurt over an engine half the size of our old v8s, thats lighter, and will make way, WAY more power and still weigh less. Probably more reliable too.
