Wow 1969 hemi Daytona sold 1.3 million.Sold at Mecum,beautiful car!

I had to double check my pics...years ago I was around a 69 green like this hemi daytona but this one had a white wing with recall wheels
..

Back in the early 80s I had to talk my buddy into buying a orange 440 Daytona, 14,000 mile car. My buddy had a black one and the deal was $9000 and the black Daytona (rough). Now it’s only a 440 but I’m sure he’s happy now he did the deal (restored 20 years ago). We rode to a few shows before he took it off the road.

I remember when Englehart was asking $200K for a Hemi 4 speed Daytona. It seemed ridiculous at the time.

I remember when a friend got 115,000 for his 440 daytona years ago.I thought man that's the price of house!

Been years ago now.
But friends and I drove to Alabama to look at a black on black hemi Daytona. 4spd car. For about 30k i think
He left without it.
I know who owns the car today and its been restored

A few years he later bought a lime light hemi superbird for $13.500 . Up near Lima Ohio
And he still has it. It needs restored.

I think there's gonna be more mopars especially wingcars then I've ever seen at Mecum.

There was over 40 wing cars at MCACN this year. It was the most Hemi wing cars I have ever seen in one location. Amazing!
