I see they are bringing back some of the old colors for the last year of the Challenger....B5, Sublime, but not Green-Go...Was hoping they would bring back either that or Green with Envy for the last year. Thinking I am going to order a Hellcat since its the last go-around.

The Hornet isn't in a segment I'm interested in but I hope it sells a lot so they can finance other stuff since it's the hottest segment right now.

I think it looks great and the R/T is under 30K. It'll sell like hot cakes, standard AWD and 285 hp

I like it. I can see buying one for my wife when her Cherokee needs replacing. It's pretty cool that they brought back the GLH name. If the Dart had stayed around for a little longer, I'm sure they would have made a GLH version of that. They made a concept but it was just some badging on a stock Dart to gauge interest.

I can't knock them for this one, every car you see is a cookie cutter crossover these days. My only question is will they be able to keep up with any respectable level of production. I'd hate to foot the bill when it comes time to change out those Brembo pads tho.

Dont look like the Hornet meets the 7500 credit criteria.

Made in Italy with the Alfa Romeo Tonale.

Maybe on the good side we can hope its well thought as mentioned.

Haven’t we seen this debacle before? Pretty sure that history is repeating itself from when this replaced Mopar muscle….

I just hope for their sake that the Hornet does better than the Caliber did.

So, I guess it's based on the platform under-pinning the Alfa Romeo...
Which has been lauded in the press for being a blast to drive, but prone to electronic issues.
Hope they fixed those before adding additional layers of electronics & computers & etc.

That won't take much effort. The Hornet could roll up with a flaming bag of dog poo on the hood and do better.

Re: Dodge Hornet Unveil - 08/17/22 06:39 PM

The original concept was way cooler:

Aaaah the fond memories of the AMC Hornet brought back by the FCA Hornet rolleyes and just think if they could build them in Hudson, Michigan or Hudson, Ohio then it would be the Hudson Hornet..........couldn't they have named it something a little more original like maybe Yellow Jacket or ????

Not a big fan of EVs, but I'd rather have a better car from a better company, and a 576HP Kia EV6-GT looks pretty good
