Just wonder if anyone on here is taking Balance of Nature? Basicly freeze dried fruits and vegetables in a capsule. Sure looks like snake oil to me. One month supply is $80.00.

Slick 50 works great, the 240K 3.9 V6 in my 92 Dakota looked awesome inside. I will probably try the BON also... wave

Dietary supplements are not snake oil. I've never looked into "Balance of Nature" so I won't speak to that. My point is, if you're looking for a good, natural nutritional supplement, do A LOT of reading and try to find a Naturopath to speak with in your area. It's my belief that everything we need (nutritionally) is on this Earth. However, the only thing an M.D. can (legally) prescribe you is poison, and it will come with 2 pages of "potential" side affects. twocents

Just eat real fruits and vegetables.

I'm big on real fruit & veggies, and a daily intake of each, separated by proteins and carbs.
I do take a multi-vitamin just to "ice the cake", so to speak.
Very rarely eat fast food, no soda-pops, and I watch my sugar & sodium intake.
I never eat dairy & meat together - very little dairy, actually - the no-dairy-with-meat is a practice that dates back to Biblical times.
I'm 70, and all my levels & vitals track like I'm much younger, including blood pressure & such. 5'10" and 165 lbs. BP 120/75.
Haven't had a cold or flu in decades, let alone all the other stuff people younger than me suffer.

Balance of Nature has to pay for their extensive advertising campaign.

Freeze drying does preserve some delicate chemical bonds,
but low heat conventional drying is in all probability nearly as good.

Is it beneficial to eat more fiber?
Yes - hottest medical topic going right now,
“microbiome” hip new word.

Is eating more flavanonols
( formerly called flavonoids)
from plants good?
Yes,
also a very hot topic.

Fisetin, Quercetin and Resveratrol
are frankly amazing ( to me at least)
and there are many more “cousin chemicals” in the family,
and probably undiscovered flavanonols in odd not yet studied plants.

As I understand it you only would really need to take supplements of something you are short of. Anything past that and your body may just expel it?

Personally I would try to eat well rounded rather than trying to add things via a pill. You can buy a lot of dried fruit and nuts for what some of these TV deals cost. Winco grocery store here has numerous trail mix blends that would be good to snack on, and not too much $$$.

The good Lord put cows and pigs on this planet to make me happy, I will eat and drink from those tasty animals until the day I expire, and I am sure that it will speed me along to my demise, but I DON'T CARE! boogie

i always get a kick out of the old guys and gals over 100 that get interviewed. especially the ones that credit their longevity to cigars, whiskey, and eating anything they want. boogie bow

The genes that allow some to live 100+ will be identified soon,
probably a few months before the Nuclear war.
