This is about the simplest amendment I’ve ever seen and will help a lot of folks with either historic
Or year matching historic plates stay legal!

I have 71 plates on my Challenger. A few years back I drove my Challenger one clean Feb morning. As I was just about to leave my neighborhood 2 police cars hemmed me in and drew their guns on me. Told me to open my briefcase that was on the floor. I asked what the hell that was all about. They said "no one would be driving a car like this in the middle of winter!" Funny now. Not then. Oh and they said the number on my 71 plates were registered to a Honda. I have the paperwork you have to keep in the glovebox to SHOW that they are legit old plates registered to your vehicle.

When I got this in the mail, I posted it on my forum another car forum, and a couple of facebook pages. Hoping to get lots of signatures, and from what I can tell, it's doing just that!

A friend down here in Va changed a 69 Dart over to a 68 cosmetically then when trying to get 68 tags DMV said no! You can use dated tags but has to be the same year as car, really bummed at that. I can’t see the reasoning because you can have made up vanity plates.

Done. If it's not snowing and the roads are salt free I have driven my classics at or even after Christmas or New Years many years now. I have Grundy and they have no limits of mileage or time of year.

Signed, sealed and delivered.

I love it when they pull you over when you are out testing a tune!

Yep, mechanical testing is supposed to be exempt from restrictions.

Transport to shows, parades, etc is exempt.
Every cruise night every day of the week qualifies as a car show.

The only documented restriction I can find is against "routine transportation". That's pretty easy to duck.
