Craftsman tools - is this legit

Craftsman tools - is this legit - 12/07/21 02:52 AM

This sort of popped up on my screen https://www.craftsman-usa.shop/
It offers prices which are unbelievable. Such as wheeled 10 drawer tool chests for $99.00, including free shipping.

I googled https://www.craftsman-usa.shop/ and got "no information available on this page". Seems too good to be true, makes me suspicious. Is there something I'm missing?

check napa. most of those prices are legit. dad works ther and he has sold 8 of the 216 pc set of 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 socket/wrench sets. unreal prices. supposedly napa will be selling the full line/warranty tools after the 1st of the year, so he was told. new craftsman plant being built in texas, maybe.

Those types of sites are all over and gather up credit card/payment information. Way too good to be true. Do not engage.

Here is a five drawer Craftsman at Ace Hardware for $100 if you are an Ace Rewards member. Nothing heavy duty but still not a bad deal.

Didn't know NAPA was going to carry Craftsman. There is something going on with ACE Hardware and Craftsman too. Like they are phasing them out or something. Who knows, maybe NAPA bought Craftsman from ACE. shruggy

Our Lowe’s is getting more and more craftsman tools. The kobalt line is shrinking more and more every time I’m in there.

I will say this

Our local Ace Hardware and Fleet Farm / Menards has taken over the Craftsman brand full force this year

And the line is expanding

And everything is red in color and of course branded right next to the Milwaukee line of products in most stores

Menards runs there own brand of tools Masterforce

I have had Ace warranty Craftsman tools with no issues.

Does anybody have experience with Lowes?

I misspoke in my earlier post. I thought that Ace Hardware owned Craftsman Tools, but actually Stanley Black & Decker has owned Craftsman since 2017. Fwiw

This thread gave me an idea on what to get my son for Christmas I got him a Craftsman tool set.

Now I have already told him he gets all my toys when I croak, but till then he'll have some of his own.

the napa deal is not a scam. dad bought 1 of the 99.99 216 pc tool sets. he has 3 more left at store. sold 12 of the 15 he had. lots of craftsman stuff at napa. get a napa flyer and see for yourself. lowes will replace your broken tool if they have it in singular form. if they have to remove it from a set, you will have to call the craftsman hotline or go to ace.

I agree and was pointing out that this is not even close to being the same as Ace Hardware's or NAPA's sales.
Pretty sure this falls under the "Too good to be true" catagory.
