Freakin' scammers... - 12/02/21 11:37 PM

I dunno what these a-holes have for free time, but it's incredulous that they text folks and waste our time.
Always the same thing: 1st text: is the item available ?
2nd text: what's your best price, item condition, and location ?
Good Lord, everyone selling something must have received that script by now, and I've never heard of the other party being legit.
And all they get is that the ad is legit and a general idea of your location, at least from me.
And I let them know that I've looked up their #.

Pity there's no way to reach through the phone with a Darth Vader choke-hold...

Racing Junk ads seem to generate that BS at least monthly.

I have a car listed on AutoTrader and 90% of the replies I get are scammers. Many have the request to text them at a number as they don’t check Autotrader responses.
One recently sounded legit at first, but was insistent I get a Carfax type vehicle report from a company I never heard from before, including giving me a web address. This is a scam.
Others seem legit but then the line about not being able to get off work to see and wanting to know lowest price. Never hear back after responding the sale is cash only so how are you going to pay in cash if you can’t come here?
And you get the flipper companies like Peddle acting like they are doing you a favor offering you up to around a half what the car is worth.
I honestly don’t have patience for selling anymore, I just want to keep everything I own forever whether I need it or not so I don’t have to deal with the BS.
