I know all those BLUE LIGHTS are gone .... those Puttsylvania have them all

several months ago
there was an article saying HF had given up on the discount paper coupons in the weekly ad flyers
and they wanted to force customers to download their app
to see “customized” discounts
(and be tracked, then data sold to other retailers)

I kinda suspect HF
is shifting manufacturing to
Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, etc

I was looking at their 849.00 mig, stick, Tig, welder because I can’t hook up an aluminum spool gun on mine. It went on sale for club members for 749.00 So I renewed my club membership. Then they offered 10% off your first purchase if you applied for their credit card
So I did that and saved 10% on my 1200.00 order.

I think it's the rust proof coating that they spray on the metal parts, made from fish.

The smell of chain stores is more closely controlled and studied than you would first guess.

It is mostly scents added to floor cleaning detergents.

Persil, the top laundry detergent outside the USA, is a good cleaner,
but it has a “pine forest” smell that I cannot accept,
even though I like to hike through real pine tree forests.

The scent of Tide laundry detergent is acceptable to me,
even though it seems clear that it is overpriced.

There is still debate about whether females can smell the so-called “MHC Genes” of males, and like/dislike a man based on that.

It is still weird to me that it has been proven that
Humans have thousands of genes that would allow us to smell as good as dogs,
but a large majority of these genes are “turned off”
by adding methyl groups to them.

Remember the movie line.....

I had to put new batteries in a couple of my blue flashlights. They used to be a throw away item but the well as run dry with the free ones.

I accumulated lots of HF flashlights. Gave some to friends and relatives, and sold several at a yard sale. They're a good quality product and worth every penny!

i got those flashlights all over the house and garage. they work great !
as for batteries, my local ACE hardware just had a sale on bricks of 30 copper tops for $6.00 !

Whenever there was a “free” voltmeter I would pick one of those up by walking the short distance from where I get haircuts.
I have checked those voms against a Fluke 87 and they are acceptably accurate.

I am a sucker for unique flashlights but the HF stuff was just not a draw to me.

Using the 20 or sometimes 30% off coupon to buy the
HF rechargeable 9 volt NiMH batteries, which are 8.4 volt instead of the more common 7.2 volt, was a draw..

It is highly annoying to have a zinc carbon or Alkaline 9 volt battery damage a piece of electrical test equipment.

The washable microfiber HF cloths are FAR BETTER
to clean the thin delicate skin of an elderly mother or father multiple times a day than toilet paper or cotton.

This is 10X more important if you are facing a C. diff infection.
Just had a 95 year old engineer friend whose memory was still amazingly accurate and was still cutting his own grass
die of C. diff when he went into a small rural hospital to have a Gallstone removed.

i will say their prices seem to be creeping up a bit as well. Still some OK items at the lower items but they also seem to be pushing their higher priced house brand stuff.
