We were up by the grass hill by the swap meet, right behind the Speedway trailer. On asphalt this year.

I got there much later than I was planning, I ran out of gas about 4 miles out. First time I've done that since I was in high school. What car did you bring?

Goodguys are always great shows. If you can, go to the one in Del Mar, it’s incredible and a nice setting.

Pavilions is a fun cruise in, always attend when I'm in the area. Really packed during the auction.

Not what it once was, the musclecars are usually out numbered by the modern cars in recent years. A lot of the old timers are gone by 6-7 PM, where the younger kids stay much later. The exception to all of this is when the auctions are in town.

For those of us that have been there to see the change it’s disheartening

It’s my understanding that the Pavillions is under new management. I also heard that the new management limits the attendance to 1987 and older. Also, the participant must be cleared out no later than 7PM. Any hotdogging, burnouts, donuts, excessive reviving of engines is met with the boot from the event. I guess the Salt River police is there to keep everyone in check. I’ll find out more when I go today.

Went to the Pavillions today and it was packed. Looks like it’s back to pre Covid times.

So is this an every Saturday event?

I will be in Phoenix this weekend.
Just not sure which day and timeline yet

Re: Goodguys Scotsdale. - 11/29/21 03:09 PM

Yes, as far as I know. Go’s 3 to 7. However I heard that cars started arriving around 11 to get a parking spot. Suppose to be 1987 and earlier cars but there were some later cars that slipped in. No big deal. I left at 8 on Saturday and it was still going, DJ was still playing.
