Cuda in MCG - 08/23/21 11:03 PM

Mopar Collectors Guide has my 70 340 Shaker Cuda in the October issue. Its the follow up to the sequential # 70 340 Shaker Cuda. Both from Hawaii and Heater Delete cars. Check it out. They do have some information wrong, but what can you do.

MCG is the 'National Enquirer' of Mopar mags.

Use a little bit of truth and then add content that has no basis in fact. runaway

They outright lied about me once. shock

I was a mechanic at the local Westchester Chrysler/ Plymouth / Dodge Dealers from 1970 till 1984.
Then I was a Supervisor of Mechanics for 30 years at NYC DOT
The FC7 Cuda and FY4 both had there original Shaker Hoods which I have.
Both have 4 wheel drum brakes
They both have manual steering, no power steering
I have picture of the third Cuda

Randy did a good job, not so bad. smile

So very true. I pinpointed my decision to not renew again when they did an article on a 340 Duster and its factory 18 spline Hemi 4-speed .
To the OP, very cool. A friend of mine had his AAR in there last year and I think he had another E-body in there this year, prior to restoration.

MCG will never win a Puliitzer for their writing. The article and the pictures sometimes contradict each other.

They made mistakes when they featured my old Garage Sale Hemi Duster back in 2011, and when they did a feature on my wife's 70 Barracuda last year. I asked to proof-read the article from last year before it went into print, but got it too late in the game to make a difference. I still feel fortunate to have the cars featured, and Randy has been a real nice guy every time I had dealt with him. Rob treated me very well on the phone as well.

There is no Mopar magazine that ever got everything completely correct unlike Mark Worman... laugh2
