There is nothing funny about absolute stupidity

The core fan base back then for that show were teenagers watching it on the cable subscription paid for by their parents. Not that those fans are all growed up I wonder if they'll spend their own $$ to watch that crap.

I take it you gents won't be catching the matinee.

These guys are a few years older than me and I remember thinking they were hilarious 20 years ago...its crazy they are still at it.

I enjoyed the Crank Yankers show that was on Comedy Central and was interested in seeing it when Comedy Central brought it back recently.
The new episodes weren’t funny, they’d made it really politically correct and in the process took out the humor.
I wonder if that might happen with the new Jackass movie?

I have not been a fan of their stuff.

Not my type of humor but they did shark week and I watched that show.

One guy got bit, I am glad he is going to be ok. I laughed because the scene where the sharks attacked almost looked like a cartoon piranha attack.

Camera was under water filming and and when the guy hits the water the sharks paused for a split second then, in unison, turned and charged him. Looked like something out of bugs bunny.

Not my kind of humor, I won't watch it, and glad they don't end up seriously hurt. To each his own. Hope it does well for them.

What a shame that more respondents cannot find any humor in their stupidity. A lot of what they do is not funny. But they do so many skits that some are very funny. But you have to have an open mind and a sense of humor to find the fun. And some people have neither. Too bad.

The movie is not political. It is just a bunch of guys doing silly and stupid jokes, stunts and pranks to entertain people.

Yeah I never quite understood that either. I got dragged to the original movie by my then girlfriend and the only time I laughed.... literally the ONLY time I laughed was when dude didn't poo for three days, planning to make in a hardware store toilet on display only to have the sleuces open up en route to do the do.

That cracked me up.

But the rest of it? Putting yourself and others in obvious danger or just doing stupid things just never seemed funny to me. And I have a great sense of humor. Seriously.... ever seen my face? I *HAVE* to have a sense of humor with this mug.

I guess this more than anything proves how starved the world is for new movies/tv shows/entertainment after being cooped up for over a year.

Ok. Next time you're taking a dump, I'm going to kick the door in and start slapping the white off of you. You can only react by laughing and telling me how funny that is.

Does anyone else find it interesting that those respondents that don't think the franchise is funny also feel the need to attack and denigrate it? Kinda revealing, isn't it.

I enjoyed the show, for the most part. Everything they did was stupid, but most of it was funny. I wouldn't go out of my way to see the movie, but it it was on cable and I was flipping channels, I'm sure I'd stop to watch it once.
