I assumed 4 motors and 8 second ET's. And I am glad its just electric and not some 7500lb hybrid contraption

I love the side profile

I know, different strokes for different folks but I'll pass. frown When I climb into a hotrod, I want to hear (and feel) it. If that's your dream car, kmock yourself out. up

I agree Tim. They said it best in this video attempting to prepare us muscle car people for the future when they mentioned how accepting millennials are of EV's. Of course THEY are because they know nothing of that sound, that feeling of an internal combustion V8 when you romp it. There's nothing like it. That's why they've been around for over 100 years and we're still loving them.

You are in luck, the girls over at All Girls Garage just put a set of fake mufflers in a Tesla that will allow you to use an app and make it sound like a real car, ties into the computer so when you hit the gas it revs up the sound.

“Evolve to survive”....Stellantis.....Yup, the average millennial will want an EV and they’re being indoctrinated to believe that the EV will save the planet. During this transition, Stellantis will slap a Fratzog emblem on an expensive, muscle electric car to satisfy some old guys. How many more years before car cruises become shunned as “polluting events”, a.k.a., super spreader events for oil burners? The social justice warriors and environmentalists are well-schooled over the last year and will use protests, social media and whatever else to stop the ICE. In not too many years, these same people will protest and try to close your local gas station. If Vietnam vets were spat on for being baby killers, don’t be surprised if the same occurs for driving a gas-operated car. Scoff at it, but it easy to envision.

They could ban gas powered cars today and it would take 25 years minimum to fully switch over to electric, so I doubt you'll see that happen.

And when they do ban selling fuel for internal combustion engines there will be people building homemade stills to run the cars on alcohol or anything else they can distill and run their cars on. laugh2

It's amazing how people see electric cars as green when they really aren't.
Toxic battery disposal will have to be dealt with after just a few years since they will wear out, and much faster than they ever admit to.
The car may seem green, but the coal fired power plant that's recharging the car isn't.
There will always be carbon emissions from the point of manufacture of the vehicle all through it's use even if it isn't directly from the vehicle.

It's a technology that's being shoved down everyone's throats whether they want it or not.
I have no problem with technology changing, but it shouldn't be forced on the public especially when it hasn't proven it's self as the best choice.
The big lie of electric vehicles is mileage range, it's never what they say it is and it gets worse as the car ages and the batteries wear out.

The saving grace of EV's will be solid state batteries, a current car with a 300 mile range will turn into 3000 mile range. The batteries currently exist in pacemakers and they say you'll start seeing them in cars in 5-7 years

Notice how both comments are turned off and the like/dislike ratio is hidden.

I love electric tech, but this video trash. We didn't get to see anything meaningful of the new car and instead got nothing but hype with an attempt to change definitions of words to increase excitement.

'Dodge will not sell electric cars, Dodge will sell eMuscle'.

Marketers....need to be chained to an anchor and dropped into the deepest and darkest depths of the ocean. [censored] these idiots.

I give them a F on this ELE vid. Almost as bad as there Jeep commercial. Now about that DUI Bruce....

Right message, wrong photo lol. Dodge said that they had the youngest buyers of any car company and I always figured it was just young families buying $18,000 caravans, but the caravan went away and they still held that title and its because of the charger and challenger. Go on instagram and look up hashtag #scatpack and #hellcat and you'll see right away who their customer base is. Those same guys aren't going to like getting their doors blown clean off by some AWD 1000hp electric Tesla either, and Dodge had to do something about it.

iagree They have done brilliant and amazing things with Hellcats and such. Unthinkable not too long ago. But EVs can be so insanely fast while still so derivable, they have to keep up with the market.

Yes and keep in mind, when Chrysler went bankrupt and layed off hundreds of engineers back in 2007 a bunch of them went to Tesla and made the model S. I fully expect the dodge boys to beat Tesla at their own game, they even have contracts with foxconn (iphone manufacturer) to do all the screens and in-car tech. What they come up with will surprise a lot of people....

Chrysler went bankrupt because Daimler gutted the F***ing company and when they couldn't steal anymore assets from Chrysler they dumped what was left on Cerberus.
They did everything they could to kill the company and steal everything they could from it.

Chrysler had $9,000,000,000 is cash reserves when Daimler "Merged" laugh2 with them, Daimler had taken all that cash and more as fast as they could.

In the early 2000's Chrysler/Daimler was working on Fuel Cell Technology, that's where the future innovation should be, but the people who want EV's are invested in that technology so EV's are pushed by the people pulling the country's strings.

I agree and I don’t blame Stellantis in any way when I speak in a derogatory way toward these vehicles. They have to keep up with the competition and do whatever the market demands within the restrictions they are bound by in order to stay in business. I blame government requirements such as CAFE and other interference from federal government. If it was decided by public demand I am certain we would always have a big pushrod V8 available to us. Instead they will try to shove an EV down our throat’s instead of making them available to those who want it and the internal combustion engine still available to those who don’t.

Teslas can blow my doors off I don't care. They also are on the bottom of the list for reliability. They also cost way more than I can afford. I'm not looking to race any Teslas I'm just looking to enjoy my own driving experience. I'd rather have two nice plenty fast Mopar V8's that I'll enjoy the driving experience in than one Tesla.

Re: Dodge's first electric muscle car video - new today. - 07/09/21 04:09 PM

How much more would an EV cost if the production of the battery included the following?
Safe working conditions in the Lithium mines. US standards
Appropriate pay for miners. US standards
Appropriate insurance for miners. US standards
EPA regulations that prevent the operation from polluting the soil water and air. US standards
Factories that make the battery complying with all the above above in there manufacturing, treatment and care of their workers and treatment and care of the environment. US standards.
I bet that $6000 battery would cost what $30,000....$40,000? Is the goal to clean the entire planet or is it ok that one part pollutes like crazy so the other part can have rabid FANBOYS bragging about owning an EV?

Yep. I'll bet every single one of you was like I was; desperately waiting for your 16th birthday to head to the DMV to get your license! I must've reminded my mom 100 times what day it was and to NOT make any plans because as soon as I got home from school we were going. My 16th fell on a school day. I couldn't stand the wait!!!! I'm amazed at how many people I know now that have 16 year olds that haven't got license yet and when I ask why not they tell me "they just weren't really interested in driving yet". I cannot even fathom this. Numb skulls. Maybe females I can understand but 16 year old males???? NOT normal.

as has been said before, in all the hype about EV's, i haven't heard a single word about an increase in the infrastructure necessary to support them if they are to become the norm. why is this ? shruggy [other than plug-ins for your EV in the mall parking lot]
and as to putting fake mufflers on a tesla, if people would put the phone down and unplug the ear buds, and just pay attention to their physical surroundings instead of the "vertchewal" [misspelled on purpose] surroundings, we would all be better off.

If you buy the gas station down the street and there is money in the cash register does it not belong to you?

Yeah, Daimler shove your reliable 545rfe transmissions, Gen 3 hemi, new Viper, 300's, Chargers, Challengers, Cummins instead of a Mercedes engine, and 10x better ride/interior sound reduction/build quality up your 4ss.

Pull your clueless head out of your 4ss. wave

I get just about as much enjoyment of posting this photo as I do of the "14,000 mile Superbird". This great moment in Chrysler history is getting harder to find, but it is still out there.

Here's the Cerebus Home Depot, MADE IN 'MURICA Team in action shopping Jeep to China (google it) and trying to sell off Viper to whoever will buy it (google it).
