Why does this forum "jump" when you first load it?

Ok, not car related..but it is a Question and hoping for an answer!

Very annoying that when a page is loaded, the page "jumps" down and you end up clicking somewhere you didn't mean to. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just about every site on the internet does this, it's an attempt to get click-on/visit "counts" for advertising/sponsor sites to continue funneling sponsor/ad $$$$ , and hopefully pull in an interested fish as well.... and yes it's very annoying, just like those other infolinks that dot the pages with crap

If you're using an ad-blocker that could be why.
The one that I use simply blocks the ads but the space where the ad would be isn't always there at first and then it seems like the page is kicked down and a blank box where the ad would be is there.
If you click on a post link before the whole page loads you end up clicking on the wrong link even though it looked like you were clickimg on what you wanted to see.

Yeah, it's very annoying.

Mine does it.

Also if you have the main page scrolled down at all it will make it jump when you click and go into any of the forums.

9/10 if I don't wait 30 seconds before clicking a thread it'll jump to infolinks and it'll open a new window. Normally it'll be the difference between me adding to the thread and getting irritated and just logging off.

Every device I use to view moparts, whether I actually log in to the site or not, does this loading jump. Its the only website I frequent that does it. I'm not using an ad blocker.

With an AdBlocker, it doesn’t happen on here.

I had the same problem on a lot of sites, Adblocker solved it.

fact!!!!

I don't have to worry about ads popping up but the 'jumping around' still happens on the phone...get none of it on the computers.
Some sites are far worse. One particular site I no longer visit has threatened to ban anyone who even mentioned ad blockers. The idiots couldn't admit to why the site traffic dropped like a rock.

Mine. Because of that infolinks crap. And no, I can't install an ad-blocker at my office.

Another annoying aspect of this jumping, when logging in, it often jumps my curser back to the log in name, resulting in me typing my password into my username. Not always, but but I immediately starting type my password, it usually jumps. If I wait, it doesn't

To avoid that, try double clicking on the "log in" in the Moparts header, it should log you in without having to type out your log in name and password.....this works for me
