I think Milan Dragway is history. At least it will not re-open under it's current ownership. When they say "closed until further notice" it's pretty well over. Sign of the times.

I spoke to a guy tonight that says they are in litigation with employees for back pay and will likely not reopen. They have no money.

I heard it has to have a lot of costly improvements before they would be allowed to open. So someone would have to come up with a lot of cash to get things going again.

over the weekend down in Norwalk we were talking with a guy that runs the open comp deal. he had heard that the township manager is telling the receiver that there has to be at least one event there in this calendar year. they don't care what it is but it has to happen, he heard a no ET or a pour your own puddle type of thing. don't know when but it has to happen according to the township manager.

how true it is, I don't know.

Not on here much and stopped in Milan and looked up to see what was happening and it was closed.I was passing thru and had forgot about them closing.

AFAIK Ubly Dragway in the upper thumb, is still open for next season...but the owner (Janowaik) is a farrggin icehole.
