I’ve heard of them since I engineer those trucks that so many state DOTs buy. We probably will never see them in IL since it would cut personnel requirements and the unions wouldn’t let that happen. I know MI has them, as does MO and maybe OH.

Based on the two different year Internationals I used to drive, I am surprised the trucks shown in the video even have enough power to pull the plows.

Have known about tow plow for a long time now having previously spent 39 years in the municipal sales & service market. Tow plows have been out 10-11 years now. Geared correctly the truck typically has no problem towing them. None in PA that I'm aware of. https://www.michigan.gov/mdot/0,4616,7-151-9621_11008-291327--,00.html

NE. Ohio ODOT has them to clear I-90 in Ashtabula County. Has had them approx 10 years. Pretty cool to see in action.

Maryland just stacks 2 or 3 plow trucks together. We call them plow trains.
